About Us
Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. HAOSDE.ORG emerged from the pursuit of inspiring and supporting the community. Established in 2011, we’re an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold steps, and a strong foundation of community support.

About the Organization
HAOSDE is a non-governmental and non-profit organization based and incorporated in the State of Massachusetts. It has the broad objective of assisting and working with rural communities towards poverty alleviation and enhancing food security by promoting ecologically sustainable development opportunities. Of crucial importance to this goal is the protection of the fragile ecosystem. For this reason, the conservation of natural resources will be given priority emphasis in all development efforts.

Our Mission
Our mission is to build the technical, organizational, and business capacity needed to tackle agricultural, energy, social, and environmental challenges — with the ultimate goal of eliminating poverty and enabling shared prosperity, village by village. We work to transform communities by protecting natural resources, strengthening local economies, and advancing development that is safe, sustainable, compliant, and cost‑effective.
Our Vision
Our vision is to motivate and help the communities organize their energies and resources and work together for their betterment by earning a decent living in harmony with the environment.

Our Values
Primarily, HAOSDE’s development model is rooted in a participatory approach that empowers rural communities to take the lead in identifying priorities, initiating solutions, and managing community‑based projects. This ensures that interventions are locally owned, culturally grounded, and sustainable over the long term.

Secondly, all projects will be small‑scale but strategically designed using a systems approach. Each intervention will be integrative, addressing the interconnected challenges within a specific ecosystem — from water and soil to livelihoods and climate resilience — to create lasting, holistic impact.
