About the Organization

HAOSDE is a non-governmental and non-profit organization based and incorporated in the State of Massachusetts. It has the broad objective of assisting and working with rural communities towards poverty alleviation and enhancing food security by promoting ecologically sustainable development opportunities. Of crucial importance to this goal is the protection of the fragile ecosystem. For this reason, the conservation of natural resources will be given priority emphasis in all development efforts.

Our mission is to transform communities and conduct business directed toward protecting natural resources and the environment, facilitating economic growth, and doing so in a safe, compliant, and cost-effective manner.

Our Vision

Our vision is to motivate and help the communities organize their energies and resources and work together for their betterment by earning a decent living in harmony with the environment.

Our Values
Primarily, the HAOSDE development concept is based on participatory approach and, therefore, will encourage rural people initiatives and organize community-based projects..

Secondly, projects will be small-scale, and with the employment of a system approach, the interventions will be integrative, addressing problems specific to an ecosystem.
